Florida State Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Seminoles Wear It

Florida State has worn garnet jerseys and gold helmets in all four of its 2026 home games, with the pants switching between garnet and gold, and the white jersey over garnet pants for its one road game so far, at Alabama. This is the full Florida State 2026 uniform schedule: the garnet home set, the white road set, the white helmet, the turquoise Seminole Heritage uniform that still has not appeared in a game, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Florida State 2026 Uniform Sets

The current closet comes from the Nike refresh FSU unveiled at the 2023 spring game. It moved the numbers from the shoulders to the sleeves, put a patchwork pattern built from the Seminole symbols for arrow, man on horse and fire on the cuffs and collar, and added the Seminole head logo to both hips of the pants. Two jerseys, three pants and two helmets make twelve possible combinations, and Mike Norvell's staff uses a lot of them: in 2025 FSU wore six different looks, and none of them were turquoise or black. The program announces each combination during game week. Home dates below default to garnet and road dates to white until that announcement lands.

The Full Florida State 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

August 29 vs. New Mexico State. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, garnet jersey, garnet pants, the all-garnet alternate home look under the gold shell, at Doak Campbell Stadium. Florida State won 34-17. FSU used this same combination three times at home in 2025, so it is a regular part of the rotation, not a one-off.

September 7 vs. SMU. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, garnet jersey, gold pants, the traditional home uniform, making its first appearance of 2026 for a Labor Day Monday night game on ESPN. SMU wore all white and won 27-24.

September 12. Bye.

September 19 at Alabama. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, white jersey, garnet pants. The pants were the open question all week, since gold is the traditional road pairing, and FSU went with the garnet instead, the same pairing it used at Stanford last season. Alabama wore the standard home set, crimson helmet over crimson jersey and white pants, and won 50-36 after FSU had led 14-3. This is the return game from Alabama's 2025 visit to Tallahassee, which FSU won 31-17. More: Alabama uniform schedule.

September 26 vs. Central Arkansas. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, garnet jersey, gold pants, the traditional home set, for Family Weekend and Hall of Fame Weekend at Doak Campbell. Central Arkansas wore a purple helmet, white jersey and purple pants. Ashton Daniels threw touchdown passes to Duce Robinson and Jayvan Boggs, Ousmane Kromah ran for two scores, and Florida State won 34-7 to get back to 2-2.

October 3 vs. Virginia. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, garnet jersey, garnet pants for FSU's Cancer Awareness game and the ACC home opener. Virginia wore a white helmet, white jersey and navy pants. Florida State won 38-7 to move to 3-2. When FSU visited Charlottesville last season, it wore all white with the white helmet.

October 9 at Louisville. White expected. It is a Friday night game on ESPN, 7 p.m. Eastern.

October 17 at Miami. White expected. Miami wears orange or green at Hard Rock Stadium, so the Seminoles will be in white.

October 24. Bye.

October 31 vs. Clemson. Garnet expected. Clemson will be in white, and FSU has designated this as its Military Appreciation game. Some programs change uniforms for that date, but FSU has not announced anything.

November 7 at Boston College. White expected.

November 13 at Pittsburgh. White expected. It is another Friday night game on ESPN, this time at Acrisure Stadium.

November 21 vs. NC State. Garnet expected. This is Homecoming, the Seminole Heritage game and the Athlete Alumni Reunion, all on one Saturday. It is also the date to watch for turquoise. The all-turquoise uniform has been ready since 2024, but FSU still has not worn it in a game, and for the 2025 Heritage game against Wake Forest it chose the traditional garnet and gold instead. We will not star turquoise until it is announced.

November 27 vs. Florida. Garnet expected. FSU hosts the rivalry game at Doak Campbell, 3:30 p.m. Eastern on ABC, the Friday after Thanksgiving. Florida will be the road team in white. Last season in Gainesville, FSU wore the traditional road set: gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants.

The Bottom Line

Four home games have produced two different pants colors, two games each, under the same gold helmet and garnet jersey, and that is how Florida State's closet works: the jersey color is predictable, but the helmet and pants are chosen week to week. White is locked in for the road games, as it was at Alabama. The remaining home dates are garnet, with the helmet and pants announced in game week. The two things we are watching are the white helmet, which FSU wore only once at home last season, and turquoise, which has been waiting for a game since 2024. The grid above lists every date, and we star each cell once the uniform is confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What jersey is Florida State wearing this week?

Florida State wore the gold helmet, garnet jersey and garnet pants against Virginia on Saturday, October 3, confirmed from the broadcast, and won 38-7 to move to 3-2. Next is a Friday night game at Louisville on October 9, where white is expected.

What are Florida State's football uniforms for 2026?

Garnet and white Nike jerseys with the numbers on the sleeves and Seminole patchwork trim, gold, garnet and white pants with the Seminole head logo on the hip, and two helmets: metallic gold or white, both with the garnet spear. There is also an all-turquoise Seminole Heritage uniform that has not been worn in a game. The base design dates to the 2023 refresh.

Does Florida State have a new alternate uniform in 2026?

Not that has been announced. The only alternate beyond the garnet, white and gold pieces is the turquoise Seminole Heritage set, first shown in 2024. The 2026 Seminole Heritage game is November 21 against NC State. No black uniform or throwback has been announced for 2026.

What did Florida State wear against SMU?

Gold helmets, garnet jerseys and gold pants, the traditional home uniform, in its first appearance of 2026. SMU wore all white. The Mustangs won 27-24 on Monday, September 7 at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Why did Florida State wear garnet pants against New Mexico State?

The all-garnet look, with gold helmets, garnet jerseys and garnet pants, is FSU's alternate home combination. The program used it three times at home in 2025, and it opened the 2026 season with it in a 34-17 win on August 29. The traditional gold pants came back for SMU nine days later.

Will Florida State wear turquoise uniforms in 2026?

How many games does Florida State play in 2026?

Twelve regular season games: six at Doak Campbell Stadium and six on the road, including the nonconference trip to Alabama. The bye weeks are September 12 and October 24. Three games are on Friday nights or the Friday after Thanksgiving: at Louisville, at Pittsburgh and against Florida.
