College Football Week 5 Uniforms 2026: What Every Top Team Is Wearing, From Tennessee's Smokey Grey to Texas A&M Camo

Week 5 of the 2026 college football season is the week the pre-announced alternates finally come out of the closet. Tennessee wears its Smokey Grey Neyland Legacy set against Auburn, the one-game centennial tribute to General Robert Neyland that the Vols revealed in August. Texas A&M wears its desert camo Honor and Support uniform against Arkansas on the day the university turns 150, and Air Force debuts its matte black B-21 Raider uniform against Navy in the first leg of the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy. Rutgers has called The Blackout for No. 6 Indiana under the lights, and Houston's Houston Blue Oilers tribute is lined up for UCF. On top of all that, Northwestern opens the new Ryan Field on Friday night against Penn State, exactly 100 years to the day after the original stadium hosted its first game.

Below is every game this week involving an AP Top 25 team or one of the programs we track in our college uniform schedules, with kickoff time, TV and what each team is expected to wear. A look is marked Confirmed when the school itself has announced it, and Expected when it has not, in which case we give the set the program normally wears in that spot. As of Tuesday, only the season-long reveals are locked. Most schools post their combination on Thursday or Friday, so we update this page as they land and again with what was actually worn. Auburn at No. 17 Tennessee: Smokey Grey

Saturday, 3:30 p.m., ESPN. The best uniform date of the weekend. Tennessee: Confirmed, Smokey Grey. Tennessee revealed the 2026 Smokey Grey on August 20 as a tribute to General Robert Neyland, 100 years after his first season as head coach, and named Auburn as the game. The details: Neyland's signature in script across the back helmet bumper, a white star on the shell, Ayres Hall printed in tonal grey across the shoulder yokes, the vintage interlocking UT on the collar and sleeves, orange numbers with a white outline, and cream pants with an orange, cream and grey stripe. It is the first Smokey Grey of the adidas era, and it is worn once. Auburn: Expected in white, the road set, which gives us white against grey at Neyland Stadium. Arkansas at Texas A&M: Honor and Support Camo

Saturday, 7 p.m., ESPN2. The Southwest Classic at Kyle Field, on the day Texas A&M marks its 150th anniversary. Texas A&M: Confirmed, Honor and Support camo. The Aggies revealed the desert camouflage set on August 14 and put exactly one date on it, this one: a camo jersey, a camo helmet with a maroon facemask and the Aggies script, and maroon pants. Navy at Air Force: B-21 Raider

Saturday, noon, CBS. The first leg of the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy, at Falcon Stadium. Air Force: Confirmed, B-21 Raider. Air Force and Northrop Grumman announced the 2026 Air Power Legacy Series uniform on August 25 for this game: matte black almost head to toe, a black shell with a dark camouflage wrap and B-21 printed above the facemask, a black jersey with chrome silver numerals and an outlined AIR FORCE wordmark, and patches for the units behind the bomber. No. 5 Ohio State at No. 14 Iowa

Saturday, 3:30 p.m., CBS. College GameDay is in Iowa City, and it is the ANF Black and Gold Spirit Game, with the crowd striping Kinnick in black and gold by section. Iowa: Expected in black, the black Tigerhawk helmet, black jersey and gold pants at home. Iowa rarely strays from the classic home set, and a 3:30 kickoff makes a black-pants night look less likely. No. 4 Miami at Clemson

Saturday, 7:30 p.m., ABC. Prime time in Death Valley and Miami's biggest road test of the first half. Clemson: Expected in orange, the orange home set that Clemson wears at Memorial Stadium almost every week. Miami: Expected in white, as the visitor. Miami has worn all white on the road at Stanford and Wake Forest, so that is the base case, and with the Hurricanes in white the two oranges never touch. More: Miami schedule and Clemson schedule.

No. 6 Indiana at Rutgers: The Blackout

Saturday, 8 p.m., BTN. Rutgers announced in August that The Blackout is back for Homecoming and Family Weekend against the national champions, with fans asked to wear black and be in their seats for a pregame light and fireworks show. Rutgers: Expected in all black, the black helmet, black jersey and black pants built for exactly this kind of night. We will flip it to Confirmed when the team posts it. Penn State at Northwestern: The New Ryan Field Opens

Friday, 8 p.m., FOX. The new Ryan Field opens on October 2, one hundred years to the day after the original stadium hosted its first game on October 2, 1926. Northwestern: Expected in purple, the home set. The new Purple Gothics alternate already has its announced debut on October 24 against Rutgers, so anything special on Friday would be a surprise, and this is exactly the kind of night that produces one. • Illinois, Hail to the Orange Out (watch). Homecoming against Purdue for the Cannon. Navy is expected, but the all orange set is a real possibility.
