Week 6 of the 2026 college football season has the best set of games on the calendar so far, and three of the biggest uniforms of the year were locked in before it started. Oregon debuts its new Origin of Speed uniform against No. 21 UCLA, the Hayward Field tribute in Night Forest with Green Strike speed-streak wings. No. 3 Notre Dame wears green against Stanford for the annual Irish Wear Green game, and Florida brings out the retro helmet against South Carolina, the 60th anniversary nod to Steve Spurrier's 1966 Heisman season. Then on Wednesday, Kentucky unveiled a Power K throwback for LSU, a revival of the look it wore from 1975 to 1991. On top of that, No. 2 Georgia visits No. 6 Alabama under the lights, No. 1 Texas and Oklahoma meet at the Cotton Bowl, and USC walks into the 19th full-stadium Penn State White Out.
Below is every game this week involving an AP Top 25 team or one of the programs we track in our college uniform schedules, with kickoff time, TV and what each team is expected to wear. A look is marked Confirmed when the school itself has announced it, and Expected when it has not, in which case we give the set the program normally wears in that spot. Most schools post their combination between Wednesday and game day, so expect a lot of Expected tags to flip to Confirmed by Friday night. We update this page as each school posts. ESPN and the AP poll call this Week 6, and the rankings below are from this week's AP poll. All times are Eastern. Last week's looks and final scores are in our Week 5 uniform guide.
Games of the Week
No. 2 Georgia at No. 6 Alabama
Saturday, 7:30 p.m., ABC. The biggest game of the weekend, in Tuscaloosa in prime time. Alabama: Expected in crimson, the crimson helmet, crimson jersey and white pants Alabama wears at Bryant-Denny Stadium every week. Alabama almost never strays from it at home, so this is about as close to a lock as an Expected gets. Georgia: Expected in white, the red helmet, white jersey and silver britches of the road set. Georgia did break out an all white alternate with the first white helmet in program history this season, but that was billed as a one-game look against Western Kentucky on September 12. Crimson against white with red trim is the classic look for this series. More: Alabama schedule and Georgia schedule.
No. 1 Texas vs. Oklahoma: Red River at the Cotton Bowl
Saturday, 3:30 p.m., ABC. The Red River rivalry at the State Fair of Texas, with the stadium split down the 50 between burnt orange and crimson. Oklahoma is the designated home team this year. Oklahoma: Expected in crimson, the crimson jersey under the white helmet with the interlocking OU. Texas: Expected in white, which makes this the one game on the schedule outside a true road trip where the Longhorns are not in burnt orange. Neither school has posted yet, and both usually do it late in the week. More: Texas schedule and Oklahoma schedule.
No. 21 UCLA at No. 13 Oregon: Origin of Speed
Saturday, 3:30 p.m., CBS. Oregon: Confirmed, Origin of Speed. Oregon and Nike revealed the uniform on September 29 and named this game for the debut. It is a Night Forest set, Nike's darkest green, with electric green and yellow wings streaking across the shoulders as a tribute to Hayward Field and the track history of Eugene, and a dark helmet with a matching streaked wing. It is the third and final uniform in Oregon's Generation O series. We graded it a B in our Origin of Speed breakdown. UCLA: Expected in white, the road set, which is the right answer against a near-black home uniform. More: Oregon schedule and UCLA schedule.
Stanford at No. 3 Notre Dame: Irish Wear Green
Saturday, 3:30 p.m., NBC. Notre Dame: Confirmed, Irish Wear Green. Notre Dame revealed its refreshed green set on July 30 for this game: Kelly green jersey, Kelly green pants and green and gold cleats under the traditional gold helmet, with white block numbers trimmed in metallic gold and the football Leprechaun logo on the sleeves. It is the annual green game Marcus Freeman started in 2022, and the Irish are 3-1 in it. Our grade is in Notre Dame's Irish Wear Green jersey. Stanford: Expected in white, so it is green and gold against white and cardinal. More: Notre Dame schedule and Stanford schedule.
South Carolina at No. 16 Florida: The Spurrier Throwback
Saturday, 12:45 p.m., SEC Network. Florida: Confirmed, retro helmet, white jersey, white pants. Florida is the one program that published its entire 2026 uniform schedule in August, and that grid has held every week so far. This is the one date on it with the retro helmet: a royal blue shell with an orange and white center stripe and the block F inside a white oval, from the throwback the Gators revealed on August 10 to mark 60 years since Steve Spurrier won the 1966 Heisman. The opponent makes it better, since Spurrier went on to coach South Carolina for 11 seasons. The full set is graded in our Florida throwback breakdown. South Carolina: Expected in garnet, because with Florida in white the visitor has to wear color. Last week the Gamecocks wore black at home against Kentucky, so black is a live option too. More: Florida schedule and South Carolina schedule.
No. 19 USC at Penn State: The White Out
Saturday, 7:30 p.m., NBC. Penn State made USC its 2026 White Out game in August, the 19th full-stadium edition and the first of the Matt Campbell era. The White Out is a crowd instruction: fans wear white, and the team stays in its home look. Penn State: Expected in navy, the white helmet and navy jersey of the home set, in its first adidas season. USC: Expected in white, the road set under the cardinal helmet. It is USC's first White Out and the first meeting between these teams at Beaver Stadium since 1994. More: Penn State schedule and USC schedule.
No. 10 LSU at Kentucky: The Power K Is Back
Saturday, 7 p.m., ESPN. Kentucky: Confirmed, Power K throwback. Kentucky unveiled it on Wednesday: a revival of the 1975 to 1991 look, with a white helmet carrying a triple stripe, the Power K on the sides and CATS above the facemask, a plain blue jersey with CATS on the shoulders and no KENTUCKY on the chest, and white pants with a Power K on the right hip. A week after the chrome helmet at South Carolina, this is the second straight game Kentucky has broken from the standard set. LSU: Expected in white, the gold helmet, white jersey and gold pants on the road. LSU is the one SEC team that wears white at home, but in Lexington the Tigers are the visitor.

Alternates and Special Looks This Week
- Oregon, Origin of Speed (Confirmed). The debut of the Night Forest Hayward Field tribute with Green Strike speed-streak wings, against UCLA.
- Notre Dame, Irish Wear Green (Confirmed). Green jersey, green pants, gold helmet, Leprechaun on the sleeves, against Stanford.

- UNLV, 1976 Bicentennial helmet (Confirmed). For Homecoming against North Dakota State, UNLV announced a throwback helmet from its 1976 season: a white shell with a red facemask and a red UNLV REBELS decal in a mid-1970s font, flanked by the Minute Man statue from Concord, Massachusetts. It honors the 1976 team and the country's 250th birthday. The jersey and pants have not been announced.
- Penn State, White Out (crowd, Confirmed). The stadium wears white against USC. The team is expected in its home navy.
- West Virginia, Coal Rush (watch). WVU has made Arizona its Coal Rush game, with fans asked to wear black, and the Mountaineers wore the all black Coal Rush set for the two previous editions. Black is expected but not yet confirmed for this one.
- Pitt, 1976 national championship 50th anniversary (watch). The 1976 team is honored at halftime against North Carolina, with a Heisman Foundation ceremony for Tony Dorsett. Pitt has not announced a throwback, and the current blue and gold set already looks a lot like 1976.
- Western Kentucky, Black Out (watch). WKU calls Thursday night's game against Missouri State a Black Out. It already has a black helmet and black pants, so all black is the obvious candidate.
- UTSA, Lights Out (watch). A Thursday night national TV window with a Lights Out theme at the Alamodome against South Florida.
- Homecoming watch. Ohio State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Cal, Toledo, App State, East Carolina and UNLV all have Homecoming on Saturday, and BYU plays Friday night in the middle of its Homecoming week. Homecoming is the most common slot for an alternate, so these are the home sides to watch.

The Bottom Line
Week 6 has five special looks locked in. Oregon's Origin of Speed is the debut of the week, Notre Dame in green is the tradition of the week, and Florida's retro helmet against Spurrier's other school is the best story of the week. Kentucky's Power K throwback against LSU is the late add we like most, and UNLV quietly added the 1976 Minute Man helmet for Homecoming. The two biggest games should look like they always do: Alabama in crimson against Georgia in white, and Texas in white against Oklahoma in crimson at the Cotton Bowl. The open questions are the Homecoming hosts, Michigan State, Ohio State, Northwestern, Cal and Toledo, plus whether West Virginia confirms all black for Coal Rush and whether Pitt dresses up for the 1976 team. We will flip every Expected on this page to Confirmed as the schools post.
