Duke Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Blue Devils Wear It

Duke keeps its jerseys simple and plays with its helmets. The blue home jersey and the white road jersey do most of the work, and the variety comes from the shell: a block D one week, Gothic Duke lettering the next, black when the night calls for it. This is the full Duke 2026 uniform schedule: the blue home set, the white road set, the black alternate, every helmet in the rotation, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games. Two games in, the defending ACC champions have worn two different helmets, and we update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Duke 2026 Uniform Sets

Nike outfits Duke, and the base jerseys have barely moved in years. The helmet is where the program experiments. The Gothic Duke lettering borrowed from the basketball program's Brotherhood look debuted on a white shell for the 2023 opener against Clemson, and it has since shown up in white, black, and a chrome blue version. There is also a Blue Devil head decal on both white and black shells, and for the 2025 ACC Championship Game Duke wore a white helmet with a blue center stripe and a DUKE wordmark. We have not seen a new 2026 alternate announced, so the grid below works from the closet we know. ACC home teams wear color and visitors wear white, which makes the road dates predictable and leaves the helmet as the weekly question.

The Full Duke 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 5 vs. Tulane. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast and Duke's own game photos: white helmet with the blue block D, blue jersey, white pants, the most traditional look in the closet for the opener at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. Tulane wore white jerseys with green pants. Duke won 17-3.

September 12 at Illinois. ★ Confirmed from Duke's game photos: white helmet with the blue Gothic Duke lettering, white jersey, white pants, the full all-white road set, against Illinois in navy jerseys, orange pants, and orange helmets. Duke won 31-27 at Gies Memorial Stadium after trailing 24-14 late in the second quarter. That made six straight wins.

September 19 vs. Stanford. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: black helmet, blue jersey, black pants for the ACC opener on The CW. Stanford came in white over white. Duke won 35-7.

September 26 vs. William & Mary. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: royal blue helmet with the D, blue jersey, blue pants, blue head to toe. William & Mary wore a green helmet, white jersey and gold pants. Walker Eget and Dan Mahan combined for five touchdown passes and Duke won 62-7 to move to 4-0 heading into the bye.

October 3. Bye.

October 10 at Georgia Tech. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: black helmet, black jersey, black pants, all black with royal blue trim. White had been expected on the road, and Duke went to the black alternate instead. Georgia Tech wore a white helmet with gold stripes, white jersey and black pants at Bobby Dodd Stadium. See the Georgia Tech 2026 uniform schedule for the Yellow Jackets' side. Georgia Tech led 14-10 at halftime and won 28-25, Duke's first loss of the season, and the Blue Devils are 4-1.

October 17 vs. North Carolina, 3:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN2. ★ Confirmed by Duke: "Back in Blue," white helmet, royal blue jersey, white pants for the Victory Bell game in Durham, a week after going all black at Georgia Tech. The Tar Heels are expected in white on the North Carolina 2026 uniform schedule. Every Week 7 look is in our Week 7 uniform guide.

October 23 at Virginia. White expected. A Friday night game at Scott Stadium, 7 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.

October 31 vs. Boston College. Blue expected. A Halloween home game, and the kind of date where a black alternate would not surprise us.

November 7 at NC State. White expected. The Tobacco Road trip to Carter-Finley Stadium is NC State's Military Appreciation game, and the Wolfpack could bring back their camo Wolfpack Warriors set; we cover that on the NC State 2026 uniform schedule. Worth remembering: on its last trip to Raleigh in 2024, Duke wore the black helmet with white Gothic lettering.

November 14 at Miami. White expected, with Miami in orange at Hard Rock Stadium, per the Miami Hurricanes 2026 uniform schedule.

November 20 vs. Clemson. Blue expected. The final home game, a Friday night kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN, with Clemson in white. ESPN files this game under November 21 because its feed runs on UTC, but it is a Friday, November 20 game. See the Clemson 2026 uniform schedule for the Tigers' side.

November 28 at Wake Forest. White expected. The regular season finale in Winston-Salem.

The Bottom Line

Duke's jersey pattern is about as predictable as it gets: blue at home, all white on the road, black when the moment calls for it. The helmet is the real storyline. Two games have produced two shells already, the block D against Tulane and the Gothic lettering at Illinois, and after the black alternate at Georgia Tech, Duke went "Back in Blue" for the Victory Bell against North Carolina. Friday night against Clemson and the NC State rivalry date are the likeliest spots for black to return. The grid above has every date, and we add a star as each uniform is confirmed.
