The Marshall 2026 Uniform Sets

Start with the patch, because it is on every jersey Marshall will wear this year. In May the school and Marshall Health Network announced a five-year all-sport jersey patch partnership through Learfield, the first of its kind in the Sun Belt and only the fourth all-sport patch deal in the country, joining Arkansas, LSU and Memphis. The jerseys underneath it are the set Marshall unveiled in June of 2025, a cleaner take on the same green and white the program has worn for decades. The wordmark is an arch rather than a straight line, the shoulder stripes are a green band edged in white and black, and the numerals dropped most of their outline work.

The real story is the helmets. From 2010 through 2021 Marshall wore white and nothing else. Black shells came into the rotation a few years ago, and in August of 2025 the program brought green helmets back for the first time since the 2009 bowl season, using the modern stylized M instead of the old block letter. That gives the equipment staff three shells to work with, and through two games in 2026 they have already used two of them.

Marshall won 28-26 in front of 25,662 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, stopping a two-point conversion with 50 seconds left to hold the lead.

September 19 at Missouri State. White expected. A 6:30 p.m. Eastern kickoff in Springfield, and the pants are the open question. Marshall went green at Penn State and has used white, green and black below the belt in recent seasons.

September 26 vs. Gardner-Webb. Green expected. Homecoming at The Joan, 3:30 p.m.

October 3 at James Madison. White expected. The Sun Belt opener on the road, and the James Madison 2026 uniform schedule has the Dukes in purple at Bridgeforth Stadium.

October 10 vs. Coastal Carolina. Green expected. This is the We Are Herd Strong game, Marshall's annual cancer awareness date, and fans are being asked to wear pink. Programs that run this theme often add a pink accent on the field, so the gloves, towels and captain patches are worth watching even if the jersey does not change.

October 20 vs. South Alabama. Green expected. A Tuesday night, 7:30 p.m., which in the Sun Belt means a national television window with nothing else on. Weeknight home games are the kind of slot where a program reaches for something different, and Marshall has a black helmet and black pants in the closet to do it with.

October 24. Open. Marshall plays on a Tuesday night in October and then does not play again until Halloween, which leaves two empty Saturdays in the middle of the schedule.

The 75 uniform is usually the most carefully designed thing Marshall does all year, and it has been good enough to lead national uniform coverage on game morning.

November 21 vs. Georgia State. Green expected. Salute to Service and Senior Day in the same afternoon, with fans asked to wear white, which sets up the nice inversion of a green home jersey in front of a white crowd.
