The Giants have one confirmed uniform date in 2026 and it is the good one. New York wears its Legacy throwback uniforms on Sunday, October 4 against the Arizona Cardinals, marking the fortieth anniversary of the Super Bowl XXI team, with members of the 1986 squad returning for a halftime ceremony. Here is the full New York Giants 2026 uniform schedule, week by week, with the confirmed date first and an honest label on everything still projected.

The Full 2026 Giants Uniform Schedule, Week by Week
Nine home games at MetLife Stadium, eight on the road, one Legacy throwback game on October 4, and a Week 8 bye.
Only Week 4 is confirmed by the team. Everything else follows the standard rule: royal blue at MetLife, white on the road. Week 17 at Dallas is the one genuinely open date, for a reason explained below.
The Legacy Throwback (Week 4, October 4, Confirmed)
New York wears the Legacy uniform against Arizona at 1:00 p.m. Eastern on CBS, and the occasion is specific: it is forty years since the Super Bowl XXI win over Denver. Members of the 1986 team reunite for a halftime ceremony, and the first 25,000 fans through the gates get a Mark Bavaro bobblehead.
The uniform is the one that team actually wore. A navy helmet carrying the underlined GIANTS wordmark on the sides with a white facemask, a royal blue jersey with classic striping at the collar and cuffs, and white pants with red and blue stripes.
It is the best thing in the Giants' closet and it is not particularly close. The current primary set is fine, but the Legacy look has the two things the modern one gave up: a wordmark helmet instead of a logo helmet, and stripes that actually resolve at distance. Wordmark helmets have almost vanished from the league, which is exactly why this one still reads as distinct rather than nostalgic.
Pairing it with the fortieth anniversary of the Parcells-Simms-Taylor team is the correct use of a throwback. The uniform and the ceremony are the same story, which is not something every team manages when it digs into the archive.
Will the Legacy Set Come Back a Second Time?
Possibly. League rules let a club combine alternate and throwback wearings across a handful of games in a season, and the Giants have historically used the Legacy uniform for more than one date when they schedule Legacy Games.
Only October 4 has been announced. If a second date is added we will put it on the grid the day it lands, and we are not going to guess at one in the meantime.
Royal Blue at MetLife (8 Games)
The blue jersey takes every home date except the throwback: Dallas in the Week 1 opener, the Titans in Week 3, New Orleans in Week 6, Washington on Thursday night in Week 10, Jacksonville in Week 11, San Francisco in Week 13, Cleveland in Week 15, and Philadelphia to close the season in Week 18.
Five of those nine home games are against NFC East opponents or genuine national draws, which is a good year for a uniform that photographs well under lights. The royal blue and red combination has been essentially untouched since the 2000s and does not need help.
White on the Road (7 Games, Plus One Open)
Weeks 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14 and 16. The Week 7 trip to Houston is worth noting because the Texans have confirmed Battle Red for that game, per our Texans 2026 uniform schedule, which puts the Giants in white against one of the loudest home uniforms in the league.
The Week 17 Dallas Wrinkle
Dallas is the one club in the NFL that wears white at home by tradition, which means a trip to AT&T Stadium is the rare road date where the visiting team can wear a coloured jersey.
That makes Week 17 at Dallas the single most open game on the Giants' calendar. New York could wear royal blue there, and blue-on-white in that building is one of the better looks the division produces. Nothing has been announced either way, so the grid above leaves it open rather than assuming. Our Cowboys 2026 uniform schedule has Dallas's side of it.
Is the Century Red Uniform Coming Back?
No. This question comes up constantly and the answer is that Century Red belonged to the 2024 season, the Giants' 100th, and articles about it still surface in search results as though they were current. They are not. There is no 2026 Century Red game, and nothing about that uniform has been announced for this season.
How the Giants Rotation Works in 2026
- Royal blue at home, white on the road.
- One throwback game confirmed, the Legacy set in Week 4 against Arizona.
- Week 17 at Dallas is genuinely open, because Dallas wears white at home.
- No Century Red. That was 2024.
- Pants and helmet combinations are a week-of call, as they are for every club.
The Bottom Line
The Giants have one of the most stable wardrobes in the league and one genuinely great alternate, and this year they are using it for the right reason on the right weekend. A fortieth-anniversary ceremony for the 1986 team, in the uniform the 1986 team wore, with the men who wore it standing on the field at halftime.
The rest of the season is royal blue and white and does not need to be anything else. If there is an argument to be made, it is that the Legacy set is better than the primary and should be seen more than once. October 4 is the only date on the books.
Frequently Asked Questions
What jersey are the Giants wearing today?
Royal blue if New York is at MetLife Stadium, white if they are on the road. The exception on the 2026 schedule is Week 4 on October 4 against the Cardinals, when the Giants wear the Legacy throwback.
What jerseys are the Giants wearing this week?
Same rule. Check whether the Giants are home or away in the grid above. Home is royal blue, away is white, and Week 4 is the Legacy set.
What uniform did the Giants wear last week?
For the uniform we logged in their most recent game, see the NFL uniform tracker, which we update through the week. The grid above is the season plan; the tracker is the record of what actually went on the field.
What are the Giants wearing next week?
Look up the week in the schedule above. Royal blue at home, white on the road, and the Legacy throwback only in Week 4.
When do the Giants wear their throwback uniforms in 2026?
Once so far: Week 4, Sunday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, at home against the Arizona Cardinals, for the fortieth anniversary of Super Bowl XXI.
What do the Giants Legacy uniforms look like?
A navy helmet with the underlined GIANTS wordmark on the sides and a white facemask, a royal blue jersey with classic collar and cuff striping, and white pants with red and blue stripes. It is the Super Bowl XXI-era uniform.
Will the Giants wear Century Red in 2026?
No. Century Red was worn for the franchise's 100th season in 2024. Articles about it still circulate but they are two years old, and no Century Red game has been announced for 2026.
Could the Giants wear blue on the road in 2026?
Only realistically in Week 17 at Dallas. The Cowboys wear white at home, which is the one road situation where a visiting team can choose a coloured jersey. Nothing has been announced.
How many uniforms do the Giants have in 2026?
Three on the current schedule: the royal blue home set, the white road set, and the Legacy throwback for one confirmed game.
