Every New NBA Uniform, Logo, Court and Patch for 2026-27

The 2026-27 NBA season tipped off on Tuesday, October 20, and it brings a lot of new looks. Two teams rebranded. Nike added a fifth uniform for the eight oldest franchises. Four former ABA teams went back to the 1970s for the 50th anniversary of the merger. Every team brought back a favorite City Edition, every team got a painted NBA Cup court, and nine teams changed the sponsor patch on the front of the jersey.

The Big Three Changes

Minnesota Timberwolves Rebrand: A+

Minnesota brought back the brighter blue and green of its 1989 expansion era, the WOLVES wordmark, the pine tree print and a modernized wolf head crest. We graded the full rebrand an A+: A+ for the white Association, A+ for the blue Icon and A for the black Statement, where the tree print wraps the collar, the yokes and the shorts. The Wolves debut the blue Icon on Opening Night, Wednesday, October 21 at Miami, and the black Statement first appears Friday, October 30 vs the Clippers. Houston Rockets Rebrand: B

Houston went back to ketchup and mustard. The rebrand brings a new Nose Cone badge logo, an updated R icon, the Dunkstronaut as a permanent secondary mark and Championship Yellow on the uniform for the first time in 30 years. We graded the white, red and black jerseys a B+ each and the full package a B, because the badge logo holds it back. The Specter Edition: D+ as a Collection

Nike's new Specter Edition is a fifth uniform for the eight oldest franchises: the Lakers, Celtics, Warriors, Knicks, 76ers, Pistons, Hawks and Kings. These are the dark designs that leaked in the spring as "Christmas jerseys." We graded the collection a D+, with Detroit on top at an A and the Lakers last at a C. ABA 50th Anniversary Classic Editions

The Nets, Nuggets, Pacers and Spurs all joined the NBA in the 1976 ABA-NBA merger, and all four are wearing an ABA-era Classic Edition and playing on a new classic court to mark the 50th anniversary. We graded each jersey and each court.

The Sixers' Iverson-Era Hardwood Classic

Philadelphia is bringing back its black Iverson-era "Sixers" Hardwood Classic for a second season. The team says it is worn later in the season, and no Classic Edition game is on the NBA's uniform schedule yet. It is part of the closet we ranked No. 1 in the league, an A. Year ten of the City Edition program means all 30 teams are bringing back a favorite from the past nine years, so every City Edition below is a returning design. No City Edition is worn before January 14, 2027. The closet grade is from our ranking of all 30 NBA uniform closets, and the City grades are from our City Edition ranking.

Atlanta Hawks

City: the 2020-21 MLK uniform, made with Dr. King's estate, graded F as a uniform (we graded the design, not the tribute). Debuts Jan 18 vs the 76ers, 8 games. The Hawks also get a Specter (A-) and keep their Paze patch. Closet: B. Hawks uniform schedule.

New York Knicks

The champions open in gold. On ring night, Oct 20, the Knicks wear their Association white with a gold NEW YORK, gold names and numbers, a gold 2025-26 Champions patch on the back and a gold "3" tag at the collar. Washington Wizards

New Logos

Houston Rockets. The new Nose Cone global logo is an inverted-triangle badge inspired by space mission patches, with the HOUSTON ROCKETS wordmark above an updated R icon. The Dunkstronaut is now a permanent secondary mark. We are not fans of badge logos, which is a big part of why the rebrand lands at a B. Rockets rebrand.

Minnesota Timberwolves. The new crest is a modernized take on the original wolf head: a howling white wolf inside a silver basketball with a green star, ringed in the throwback green. It is the center of the A+ rebrand. Timberwolves release and the logo leak.

2027 NBA All-Star logo. Phoenix hosts the 2027 All-Star Game on Sunday, February 21, 2027 at Mortgage Matchup Center. The logo, unveiled February 15, 2026, uses the Suns sunburst in a sunset palette with four stars for the city's four All-Star Games: 1975, 1995, 2009 and 2027, per the NBA's All-Star 2027 page and azfamily. New Courts

NBA Cup courts. All 30 teams play Cup games on a floor painted solid in a team color with an oversized tonal wordmark, inspired by Nike's "End of Ordinary" Standard Issue collection. Our top five: the Jazz (A+), Knicks (A), Pistons (A-), Magic (B+) and 76ers (B). The Rockets and Bucks both got an F. Group play starts Friday, October 30, and the final is Friday, December 11 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. All 30 Cup courts, ranked.

ABA classic courts. Each of the four ABA teams has a new classic floor. The Nets and Spurs earned an A+, with San Antonio's SAN ANTONIO TEXAS center circle the standout, the Pacers' plaid-lane floor an A, and the Nuggets' orange court an A-. Classic Edition courts.

Timberwolves. A new Core Court with the wolf head at center and a gray key (A+), plus a Statement Court with the WOLVES wordmark across stained dark wood (A-). Timberwolves release.

Rockets. Two new Toyota Center floors: the Core Court (C+) and the Dunkstronaut Statement Court (C). Rockets courts, graded.

Nuggets. The regular Ball Arena floor dropped the navy borders, added mountains and shrank the center logo. We graded it a C. Nuggets court.

Lakers. The new floor with the LA logo is at the UCLA Health Training Center, the practice facility, not the game floor at Crypto.com Arena. It is very dark, and we gave it a C+. Lakers new court.

Heat. Miami plays on a custom Vice City court for one night, November 18. It has not been revealed yet.

Every NBA Jersey Patch for 2026-27

Nine teams have a new sponsor patch this season. "Confirming" means we have not yet verified that team's 2026-27 patch from a team or league source. We will fill those in as we confirm them, starting with Opening Night photos.

The Lakers' Albert deal is reported to be worth more than $30 million a year, which is why we wrote it up on its own. The Sixers and Nets patches made their debut in the Media Day photos. Atlanta's Paze deal is multi-year and began last season, per the Hawks.

The other patch you will see tonight is not a sponsor. The Knicks' ring night jersey carries a gold 2025-26 Champions patch on the back.

Tribute Bands and Patches

Five teams are wearing a tribute on the jersey all season.

Chicago Bulls: Stacey King. A "KING" band with a microphone for the I, honoring the longtime Bulls broadcaster. His Celebration Night is Thursday, February 4, 2027 vs Oklahoma City, per the Chicago Sun-Times.

Golden State Warriors: Don Nelson. A "Nellie" band on the jersey throughout the season, per the Warriors.

Memphis Grizzlies: Brandon Clarke. A "BC" patch all season, with the tribute starting on Opening Night, Wednesday, October 21 vs Utah, per FOX13 Memphis.

Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings: Rick Adelman. Both teams he coached honor him this season. Portland wears an "ADELMAN" band and Sacramento a black band, per NBA.com. Portland's tribute night is Tuesday, December 15 vs Denver, coached by his son, David Adelman.

One-Night Looks

Miami Heat: A Night in Vice City. On Wednesday, November 18, the Heat host the Bucks at Kaseya Center as "A Night in Vice City," a one-game promotion with Rockstar Games for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Miami wears a one-night uniform and plays on a custom court built for that game only. The design has only been teased as a silhouette so far, per the Heat, Yahoo Sports and GameSpot. Knicks ring night. The gold-trimmed Association white on Oct 20, graded A+, covered above.

Christmas. The "Christmas jerseys" that leaked in the spring turned out to be the Specter Edition, and no Specter game is on Christmas Day. Here is how that leak played out: NBA Christmas jerseys 2026 leak.

Coming in 2027-28

Four teams are reported to get new uniforms next season. The Spurs' part is already on the record: the team said its "Go Spurs Go" wordmark becomes standard on its core uniforms in 2027-28. The Wizards are the safest bet for a rebrand, with executives talking openly about it. A purple Raptors Statement and more Pacers pinstripes are credible leaks, but still leaks.
