How many prime-time games does each NFL team have in 2026? We counted every night game on the schedule for all 32 teams. The Los Angeles Rams lead the league with seven. The Cowboys, Bills, Packers, Seahawks and Chiefs each have six. And five teams, the Cardinals, Raiders, Dolphins, Jets and Titans, have zero prime-time games on the 2026 schedule as it stands today.
Below is the full NFL prime-time schedule by team: every Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football game, plus the Kickoff Game, the Netflix games, Thanksgiving night, the Saturday night game in December and Christmas night. We also list each team's other national-stage games (Thanksgiving afternoon, Black Friday, Christmas afternoon and the international games), and which late-season games can still move. Every team links to its uniform schedule, so you can see what they'll wear under the lights.
How We Counted Prime-Time Games
We count a game as prime time if it is a standalone national game that kicks off at 8 p.m. Eastern or later. That covers:
- Thursday Night Football on Prime Video (15 games)
- Sunday Night Football on NBC and Peacock (17 games so far, with the Week 18 game still to be picked)
- Monday Night Football on ESPN, with many games also on ABC (17 games)
- The NFL Kickoff Game on Wednesday, Sept. 9 on NBC
- The Melbourne game on Thursday, Sept. 10 on Netflix (8:35 p.m. Eastern)
- Thanksgiving Eve on Wednesday, Nov. 25 on Netflix, the first Thanksgiving Eve game the NFL has ever played
- Thanksgiving night on NBC
- Saturday night, Dec. 19 on CBS
- Christmas night on Fox
Daytime national games count separately, as "also on the national stage." Those are the Thanksgiving afternoon games, the Black Friday game, the two Netflix Christmas afternoon games, the Saturday afternoon game on Dec. 19 and the international games that kick off in the morning or afternoon Eastern time. The one international game in prime time, Vikings vs 49ers in Mexico City, is a Sunday Night Football game and counts as prime time.
The schedule data comes from ESPN's official NFL schedule feed, checked against NBC's published Sunday Night Football schedule and the NFL's 2026 flexible scheduling rules. Times are Eastern.

0Who Got the Most Prime-Time Games, and Why
The Rams are No. 1 with seven. Three of those are on streaming platforms: the season's first Thursday in Melbourne on Netflix, the first Thanksgiving Eve game ever (Packers at SoFi Stadium, also Netflix) and a Thursday night game against Kansas City on Prime Video. Add two Monday nights, a Sunday night in Denver and Christmas night in Seattle, a rematch of last season's NFC Championship Game. The Rams are the Netflix team this year. Two of Netflix's five 2026 games are theirs.
Five teams have six. The Cowboys are always here, and they also get the Rio de Janeiro game and their usual Thanksgiving afternoon. The Seahawks, last season's Super Bowl champions, open the season in the Kickoff Game against the Patriots in a Super Bowl LX rematch and host the Rams on Christmas night. The Bills get Thanksgiving night against the Chiefs, a Saturday night home game against the Bears and the Christmas afternoon game in Denver. The Packers get two Thursday nights, two Sunday nights, a Monday night, Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas afternoon in Chicago. The Chiefs' six are all true night games, starting with Monday night in Week 1 against Denver.
If you count every national-stage game instead of just night games, the Eagles and Cowboys lead with eight each, one more than the Rams.
Who Got the Fewest: The Five Teams With Zero
The Cardinals, Raiders, Dolphins, Jets and Titans have no prime-time games in 2026. None of the five has a national standalone game of any kind, day or night.
There used to be an unwritten expectation that every team got at least one night game. That is not how the 2026 schedule was built. Mike North, who runs broadcast planning and scheduling for the NFL, explained the thinking after the schedule came out: "We don't draft our way into primetime. We play our way into primetime." That line was aimed at the Raiders, who drafted quarterback Fernando Mendoza first overall and still got no night games. The Titans were in the same spot a year earlier.
North also pointed to flex scheduling as the way back in. If any of these five teams plays its way into the race, the league can move one of its Sunday afternoon games into a night window later in the season (see the flex rules below).
The Browns and Saints have one each. Cleveland's is a Thursday night home game against Pittsburgh in Week 4. New Orleans has a Monday night game against Atlanta in Week 4, plus the Paris game against the Steelers.
Division and Market Notes
- NFC North and NFC East lead the league with 19 prime-time appearances each. Every NFC North team has at least four, and the Packers and Bears are on Christmas afternoon together.
- NFC West: 18 appearances, but all of it is three teams. The Rams (7), Seahawks (6) and 49ers (5) are near the top. The Cardinals have none.
- AFC East is all or nothing. The Bills (6) and Patriots (5) have 11 between them. The Dolphins and Jets have zero.
- AFC South has the fewest: 9 appearances. Houston has four, Jacksonville three, Indianapolis two and Tennessee none. Jacksonville also plays two London games.
- NFC South is close behind with 10. The Falcons, Panthers and Buccaneers have three each, and the Saints one.
- Both New York teams split. The Giants have four (including Week 1 Sunday night against Dallas), and the Jets have none. The two Los Angeles teams split too: the Rams lead the league with seven, and the Chargers have three.
How the NFL Decides Prime Time
The networks pick from the best matchups. The league builds the schedule with its TV partners, and the night windows go to the games those partners expect to draw the biggest audiences. That usually means star quarterbacks, big markets, rivalries and teams coming off strong seasons. Last season's results matter more than draft picks.
Each package has its own anchor games. NBC has the Kickoff Game, Sunday nights and Thanksgiving night. Prime Video has Thursday nights and Black Friday. ESPN has Monday nights. Netflix has five games in 2026: Melbourne in Week 1, Thanksgiving Eve, both Christmas afternoon games and a Saturday game in Week 18. Fox has Christmas night this year.
Flex scheduling can change all of this. The NFL's 2026 flexible scheduling rules say:
- Sunday Night Football: flex can be used up to twice in Weeks 5 to 10, and in any week from Week 11 to 17.
- Monday Night Football: flex can be used in any week from Week 12 to 17.
- Thursday Night Football: flex can be used up to twice in Weeks 13 to 17, with the decision generally made at least 21 days ahead.
- Week 18: the full schedule, including the Sunday night game and the Saturday games, is set after Week 17 ends.
When a game is flexed in, the game it replaces usually moves to Sunday afternoon. So a team's count above can go up or down. We marked every game that can still be flexed. Week 5 is played and Week 6 is past the flex deadline, so we did not mark those.
Still to be set: Week 16 and Week 17 each have four games that will be played on either Saturday or Sunday. The league has not picked the Saturday games yet. Week 18 is entirely to be decided, including the season's final Sunday Night Football game and the Netflix Saturday game.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which NFL team has the most prime-time games in 2026?
The Los Angeles Rams have the most, with seven: the Melbourne game on Netflix, two Monday nights, a Sunday night, Thanksgiving Eve on Netflix, a Thursday night and Christmas night on Fox. Five teams are next with six each: the Cowboys, Bills, Packers, Seahawks and Chiefs.
Which NFL teams have no prime-time games in 2026?
Five teams have zero: the Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. None of them has any national standalone game. Flex scheduling could still move one of their games into a night window later in the season.
How many prime-time games do the Dallas Cowboys have in 2026?
The Cowboys have six prime-time games: three Sunday nights (at the Giants in Week 1, at the Packers in Week 6 and against Jacksonville in Week 16), a Thursday night against Tampa Bay, and Monday nights at Philadelphia and at Seattle. They also play the Rio de Janeiro game against Baltimore and host the Eagles on Thanksgiving. See the Cowboys uniform schedule for what they'll wear.
How many prime-time games do the Kansas City Chiefs have in 2026?
Six: Monday night against Denver in Week 1, Sunday nights against the Colts and at Seattle, Thanksgiving night in Buffalo, a Thursday night at the Rams and a Monday night against New England in Week 15. Here is the Chiefs uniform schedule.
How many prime-time games do the Green Bay Packers have in 2026?
Six prime-time games, plus Christmas afternoon at Chicago on Netflix. The night games are Thursday nights against Atlanta and Carolina, Sunday nights against Dallas and Buffalo, Thanksgiving Eve at the Rams and a Monday night against Houston in Week 17.
How many prime-time games do the Philadelphia Eagles have in 2026?
Five: Monday nights at Chicago and against Dallas, Sunday nights at Washington and at San Francisco, and the Christmas Eve Thursday night game against Houston. The Eagles also play in London, at Dallas on Thanksgiving and at home against Seattle on Saturday, Dec. 19, which gives them eight national games in all, tied for the most.
How many prime-time games do the Pittsburgh Steelers have in 2026?
Four: Thursday night at Cleveland, Sunday nights at Cincinnati and against Houston, and a Monday night at Jacksonville. They also play the Paris game against the Saints and host Denver on Black Friday.
How many prime-time games do the Chicago Bears have in 2026?
Five: Monday nights against Philadelphia and at Seattle, a Thursday night against New England, a Sunday night against Tampa Bay and a Saturday night game at Buffalo on Dec. 19. The Bears also play at Detroit on Thanksgiving and host Green Bay on Christmas afternoon.
How many prime-time games do the New York Jets have in 2026?
None. The Jets are one of five teams with no prime-time games and no other national standalone games on the 2026 schedule. Their Week 18 game at Buffalo has not been scheduled yet, and flex scheduling could still move a game into prime time.
How many prime-time games do the Las Vegas Raiders have in 2026?
Zero. The NFL gave the Raiders no night games even after they drafted Fernando Mendoza first overall. The league's scheduling chief said teams have to play their way into prime time, and flex scheduling is the route in.
Is there a rule that every NFL team gets a prime-time game?
No. Five teams have none in 2026. Prime-time windows go to the matchups the networks expect to draw the biggest audiences, and flex scheduling lets the league reward teams that play well during the season.
Can the NFL change prime-time games during the season?
Yes. In 2026 the NFL can flex Sunday Night Football up to twice in Weeks 5 to 10 and in any week from 11 to 17, Monday Night Football in Weeks 12 to 17, and Thursday Night Football up to twice in Weeks 13 to 17. Week 18 is set after Week 17 ends.
What NFL games are on Christmas Day 2026?
Three: Packers at Bears at 1 p.m. Eastern and Bills at Broncos at 4:30 p.m. on Netflix, then Rams at Seahawks at 8:15 p.m. on Fox.
What NFL games are on Thanksgiving 2026?
Bears at Lions at 1 p.m. on CBS, Eagles at Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Fox and Chiefs at Bills at 8:20 p.m. on NBC. The night before, the Packers play the Rams on Netflix in the first Thanksgiving Eve game. On Black Friday, the Broncos play the Steelers at 3 p.m. on Prime Video.
The Bottom Line
The Rams lead the NFL with seven prime-time games in 2026, five teams have six, and five more (Cardinals, Raiders, Dolphins, Jets and Titans) have none. The NFC North and NFC East got the most night games, and the AFC South got the fewest. Flex scheduling can still shuffle Sunday, Monday and Thursday nights later in the season, and we will update this list when it does.
